Futhark as "Do-Re-Mi"
(© Ben Waggoner, Dave Haxton and Lucky Kuurwyn)

FEHU, a cow, a Holstein cow,
URUZ, a mightly longhorn bull,
THURISAZ, a mean and monstrous giant,
ANSUZ, the Gods on high who rule,
RAIDHO, a journey on your bike,
KENAZ, a torch that you employ,
GEBO, a present that you like,
That will bring you WUNJO, joy, joy, joy, joy. . .

HAGALAZ is hail, the whitest grain,
NAUDHIZ, a deep and pressing need,
ISA is ice, a frozen lake,
JERA, the harvest grows from seed,
EIHWAZ, the strong and mighty yew,
PERTHRO, a gamble lost or won,
ELHAZ, shield-maidens warding you,
SOWILO is the blazing sun, sun, sun, sun. . .

TIWAZ, the God of justice high,
BERKANO, the birch's greenest bough,
EHWAZ, a horse, a yearling colt,
MANNAZ, in Midgard here and now,
LAGUZ, the lake with stormy spray,
INGWAZ, the God so fair and fine,
DAGAZ, the dawning of the day,
OTHALA is the land that's mine, mine, mine, mine. . .

Learn the Runes to know your doom,
Just don't learn them from Ralph Blum!

(or)

When you know the Futhark clear,
Odin stabs you with a spear!
